Even Flow
Even Flow
My take on the traditional keel fin fish. Everyone needs a fish in the quiver, and The Even Flow is a must-have. It’s a pretty complex design, but it feels so natural under your feet. The ease of planing over flat sections, riding the high line, and swooping around sections to a full rail gouge is unmatched on this craft.
I became obsessed with the fish design after watching Rasta in Blue Horizon when I was a grom and got my first custom fish when I was 15. I’ve had a bunch of fish boards from different shapers over the years. It’s cool to blend those different feelings and my own ideas to now have my very own fish design and be stoked on where it’s at.
A traditional fish outline with the wide point forward for paddle power and planing surface. Then to the side cut ending at a hip behind the keel fins for a breaking point for tight arching turns, rail to rail transition, drive and help on the backside. I have taken inspiration from the side cuts in the outline from shapers like Burch, Mackie and Lovelace. The original side cut design comes from the snowboard.
Low overall rocker with a deep single concave running through the keels gives this board unmatched speed.
Beaked nose and flat deck to carry plenty of foam - then foiled out the tail for sensitivity.
Low bitey rails for hold and control even in a solid wave.
Ride it short! My favourite size is 5’3 x 20 x 2 5/16 29.5L
I’m 5’8 and 70kgs.
