Evo style outline with the Journey Crafts spin. Fast in trim and silky smooth, driving turns off the tail. This craft fits nicely between the Dancing Days log and BADFISH mid. When it’s a little too big for the log, but you still want the easy flow and glide, although able to turn in tighter sections. This craft loves points and beachies in the 1-4ft range.
Outline is parallel for max trim speed and wide point slightly set back to have the turning point between your feet.
Rolled bottom entry and turned-up rails to allow trim and cheater 5s up front, pocket rides, and ploughing through chop. Panel vee through the middle with egg rails for heel-to-toe sensitivity. Then step back to the tail with a pronounced concave vee that tips the board over and accelerates you into a smooth, hard carve. Thin rails at the back foot with some edge for bite.
Can ride just as a straight single for that traditional feeling or use some side bites for a little extra stability and drive. Foiled out to not feel like a big, bulky mid, keeping it nice and nimble.
The size range of this board is between 7’4-8’10. Choose the length for the type of wave and approach you want.
I ride a 7’10 x 20 1/2 x 2 3/4. I’m 5’8, 70kgs.
