This is my 90’s style step-up blade. When surfing waves of consequence or the local is cooking, and you want a board you can trust, the STATIC is the craft!  You will have instant respect from the local core lord when you pull this out of the car! Modern take on the classic Allan Byrne design.

Pulled in a needle nose that won’t catch on late drops. Double flyers and swallow tail for bite that line up with the exit of the channels. 

Curvy continuous rocker to fit in hollow waves and hard carves in tight pockets. Entry vee to break ruffled water to subtle single concave through the middle for a gas pedal under the front foot, sending clean water to the vee with deep channels out the tail, maximising drive and speed. The vee lets the board tip over on rail with ease, and the channels give squirt, acceleration, and drive. A feeling of confidence and control.

Still hidden foam under the chest and along the stringer line, but foiled out in the nose and tail. 

Rails are knifey and low for bite in the wave face.

Ride at least 3 inches longer than your shortboard and around 1/4 narrower and 1/8 thicker. 

Or stretch out to the 7ft + range for the XL stuff. 

I ride 6’1 x 18 1/4 x 2 3/8.  I’m 5’8 and 70kgs.
